The Position Conserve It is looking for is a back-end developer to help develop a cloud platform that will be used to provide key data analytics to our clients in the HVAC industry so they may better purpose product and site maintenance. You will be working with a small team to deliver a high-quality product for the client, that will be deployed across the globe for many years to come.
Your duties will include:
Working with agile methodologies in building CI/CD pipelines
Support and maintaining of cloud infrastructures such as AWS with the possibility of expanding into other infrastructures such as Azure.
Build and maintain containerization infrastructure through Docker
Coding/Scripting variety of services within the stack that include Java, Kotlin and Python.
Building and maintaining production database
Work with Data Scientists and Engineers to develop and enhance the product, including the development of new analytics or implementation of machine learning algorithms
Continuously improve your skills and help the team continuously improve its process. A desire to learn is always looked upon favourably.

Essential skills and experience
Formal qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 1 year working with AWS cloud technologies
2+ years’ experience in Java
Any level of experience writing and maintaining Kotlin
Comfortable working in a Linux environment
Fluent with the use of Docker, Docker Compose & Swarm and microservices
Fluent with the use of Git and source code management technologies
AWS S3, EC2, Load Balancers, MQTT, AMQP and messaging technologies
Demonstrable skills with TDD
Desirable skills
Understanding of Relational and NoSQL Databases
Have worked with Spring Boot
Have worked with NodeJS, Typescript, and Javascript
Working knowledge of Python
Using Kubernetes for orchestration of cloud based microservices
