About the Haystack Connect 2021 Conference and Exhbition
As in past years, presentations will focus on real-world challenges in integrating diverse systems and data, and are delivered by individuals leading the effort to streamline data interchange through the use of Project Haystack technology.
Haystack Connect is known for the quality of its technical program, which is driven by the Project Haystack community. With the decision to hold the conference virtually, maintaining the same high-quality technical program has been a paramount consideration during all phases of planning for the event.
As in past years, presentations will focus on real-world challenges in integrating diverse systems and data, and are delivered by individuals leading the effort to streamline data interchange through the use of Project Haystack technology. Providing educational value is the primary goal of all presentations.
The program is divided into three tracks. Track 1, Haystack in Practice, explores real world applications of Haystack tagging. Track 2 is the technical track. This year, the technical track will include several sessions on Haystack 4. Track 3 is the ever popular “Pitchfest”—a fast-paced look at new products and services utilizing Haystack technology (think ‘Shark Tank’ for Haystack).
The technical committee of Project Haystack has opened the call for speakers and announced program topics, which include: TRACK 1: Haystack in Practice – Haystack Tagging in Real World Applications
Haystack’s impact in the engineering community and design phase – Haystack in project specifications
Evolution of new data-oriented business offerings by the engineering community
Haystack beyond building environmental systems – Haystack as applied to industrial, data centers, agriculture, and others
How Haystack is transforming software and hardware products
The Haystack/Analytics Connection: Haystack’s role in streamlining analytics of IoT data
End users’ benefits and experiences implementing data management strategies and Haystack’s role
How Haystack drives business value for systems integrators, OEMs
In the Trenches – experience applying Haystack tagging in projects small and large, and across vertical applications
Haystack in Digital Twins
TRACK 2: Technical Track
Conclusion of the Haystack 4 public review and final release
Important new open-source announcements for Haystack 4
Upcoming enhancements for validation and data shaping
Working group sessions
Crash course – get up to speed on Haystack 4
TRACK 3: New Products and Services Using Haystack – “Pitchfest”
Up to twelve 10-minute sessions are being offered on a first come first serve basis
While these program topics will help shape the agenda, it is the speakers—comprised of the best and brightest individuals in the building automation, energy efficiency, and IoT markets—who make the presentations so dynamic. If the first batch of speaker submissions is any indication, Haystack Connect 2021 is sure to be another fantastic event. We hope that you plan to join us! The conference, which is free to attend, will take place virtually May 4-6, 2021. For more information, including registration and information on becoming a speaker, visit Haystack Connect 2021.
